Chris Webber is retiring ...

Chris Webber the No. 1 pick in the 1993 National Basketball Association draft, is retiring because of problems with his surgically repaired left knee. Webber, 35, will make a formal announcement today.
Since playing with the Golden State Warriors Webber has played nine games and has been sidelined since March 2 because of complications with his knee. It looks as if his comeback attempt is over after 15 seasons in the NBA. Webber was a five-time All-Star, who ended his career averaging 20.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists a game. Chris will be missed by all his fans. Be sure to check out ESPN today for his formal announcement.
